2NE1TV is back, and it’s going to hit the airwaves world-wide!

First premiering in America on Mnet US, 2NE1TV will broadcast on 7/17 at 8PM PST.

Following the U.S. premiere, 2NE1TV’s 3rd season will officially be re-branded as “2NE1TV LIVE:WORLDWIDE“.

Mnet Korea will launch the new series on 7/19 at 6PM, and other countries will broadcast the show shortly after. Including, Thailand (TrueVision), Vietnam (YAN TV), and Cambodia (CTN). Meanwhile, tvN Asia and Channel V International will air the program in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Myanmar and Malaysia.

The girls first enflamed the K-pop scene two years ago with their debut single, “Fire“, and since then they’ve been making headlines right, left, and center. The season will kick off with a special episode, and continue on with 21 distinct stories of their growth as artists and individuals.

T-ara makes a “Roly Poly” comeback on M! Countdown

Having been away since the start of the year, the T-ara girls are back on the stage of Mnet M! Countdown with their latest infectious title track, “Roly-Poly“.

The girls’ newest concept is refined 1970s club-hoppers, and they are targeting music fans both young and old with this retro concept and hope to make it a national song.

Their title track, “Roly Poly“, which was was co-produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sang, was purposely kept simple in both melody and choreography to create an addictive effect.

The track’s mellow beat and subtle electronic touch are enough to transport any listener to the times of flashing disco balls and Saturday Night Fever.

Core Contents Media explained, “‘Roly Poly’ features an addictive but easy to follow melody that will catch the attention of listeners of all ages.”

Are 4minute’s HyunA and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon dating?

There are currently rumors going around that 4minute’s HyunA and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon are a couple.

On June 22nd, HyunA and Lee Joon were seen together on a flight that was heading from Okinawa, Japan to South Korea.

The two singers sat together in the first row of the business class section, and were reportedly seen acting like a couple throughout the two-hour flight.

A witness on the flight claimed, “HyunA and Lee Joon were dressed casually and acted like a college couple. Maybe it was because there weren’t many people in the business class section, but they seemed very comfortable and weren’t wearing sunglasses or hats.”

Another witness added, “HyunA and Lee Joon were teasing each other while holding hands, and also leaned on each other’s shoulders. They looked like a cute couple.”

However, the agencies of both singers have refuted the claims explaining that the two were just filming for a music video together.

A representative from Cube Entertainment firmly stated, “HyunA and Lee Joon only went to Okinawa together to film a music video. They are not dating. They had to act like a couple during the flight because they were filming for a scene. Many staff members were also on the plane with the two.”

The representative added, “We don’t know why this has become an issue on the day of HyunA’s new album release. This was in no way a noise marketing tactic. Why would we have used such a tactic, when we have nothing to gain from the issue.”

Lee Joon’s agency J.Tune Entertainment also clarified, “They were only filming for a music video. The two are close friends so people must have misunderstood their relationship.”

It seems like people believed the rumors had substance because HyunA and Lee Joon had both previously referred to each other as their ideal match through radio and show programs.

The two had also danced as a couple during the ‘SBS 2010 Music Festival‘, took a wedding photo shoot together, and hosted the show ‘Remote‘ together this past January.

Mnet’s “20’s Choice” to stream live through YouTube!

It was recently announced that this year’s Mnet’s “20’s Choice” Awards will be streamed live worldwide on YouTube!

The “2011 Mnet 20’s Choice” Awards is set to take place this coming July 7th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM KST at the Walkerhill River Park in Seoul, hosted by actor Song Joong Ki and miss A’s Suzy. Both the blue carpet entrance and the awards show will be broadcast live on channels Mnet, KM, tvN, OnStyle, XTM, and On Gane Net, as well as Mnet’s official Youtube channel.

On June 30th, Mnet confirmed, “We plan to stream the 2011 Mnet ’20’s Choice’ Awards worldwide through out official Mnet YouTube channel (youtube.com/mnet).”

The producer of the awards show added, “The worldwide popularity of K-pop is influenced mostly by social networking sites. We’ve decided to synchronize with this currently hot trend and broadcast the show live to all Hallyu fans worldwide.”

He continued, “We believe this will be welcoming news to all the fans in places like South America and Northern Europe who have been making inquiries through our official Twitter.”

f(x) wins #1 on M! Countdown + other performances

Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another episode of great performances and musical treats.

Besides the usual stages on the show today, T-ara, Mighty Mouth, Navi, Min Kyung Hoon, andHwayobi all made their respective comebacks.

It was a battle between SECRET, f(x), and 2PM for the #1 spot on “M! Countdown” today, and in the end it was f(x) who got the win for “Hot Summer“!

Blackjacks have waited a long time for this day – after an internal delay and then another minor setback, 2NE1’s “I Am The Best” music video has finally hit the internet with full force!

The quartet heated up the airwaves with the full track release earlier this week, immediately achieving an all-kill on music charts, with “#2NE1isthebest” trending on Twitter worldwide.

Directed by Seo Hyun Seung (the creative force behind “Fire”, “Try to Follow Me”, “Clap Your Hands” & “Can’t Nobody”), the MV features glammed up film sets to match the energy of the track.

Considering how “I Am The Best” features heavy-hitting beats and a party vibe that would get anyone up and moving, the MV compliments the track with eye-popping film sets and wardrobe choices that will have fans and critics talking for days.

KARA’s Hara & B2ST’s Junhyung confirmed to be in a relationship!

KARA’s Hara and B2ST’s Junhyung have been revealed to be dating!

On June 28th, Cube Entertainment announced, “They had a senior/ junior relationship until they began dating. They’ve been dating for about a month now. When Hara was going through some difficult times, Junhyung consoled her. Because of their busy schedules, they’ve only been able to go out to eat and other dating activities three times so far.”

DSP Media also announced, “They do have good feelings towards one another, but they’re still getting to know each other. It’s only been a month so far. Please watch over them for a bit more.”

An associate of the two revealed, “The KARA and B2ST members are all close to one another because they’ve been promoting around the same time. They depend on and look to each other for consolation. Ahead of their Japanese comeback, their relationship has gotten a lot deeper through support meetings.”

The two were caught confidently dating on the early morning of June 9th, the day Junhyung returned from B2ST’s Japanese concert. After drinking coffee at a take out cafe in Kangnam, the two drove around the area before parking near Junhyung’s home. For an hour, the two walked around the neighborhood and around the park before settling at the ‘Sky Park’ in Sangam-dong.

Seeing the two hold hands side by side was definitely a heartwarming sight for reporters on the scene. The two apparently used every spare moment in their schedules, as they met up again on the early morning of June 13th to walk around the back alleys of Hongdae.

What’s amazing is that they didn’t hide who they were at all. In the car, Hara would roll down the windows and stick her head out to observe the night view.

An associate of Hara’s explained, “Innocence is Hara’s charm. She may have begun promoting early, but she’s not affected by that at all and still manages to preserve her innocence. Yong Junhyung probably fell in love with her pure charm.”
